Millport Town Hall
Designs to refurbish and extend Millport Town Hall
We have been invited to draw up designs to refurbish and extend the currently redundant Millport Town Hall on the Isle of Cumbrae. Through close and extensive working with client and community, the project aims to bring the building back to life through a strategic redevelopment of the structure, providing a revitalised community hub for Millport. To do so, the emerging design returns the main hall to its former glory, delivering a much needed performance and events space. Over and above the restoration of this principle space, the building will also offer community, museum and residential spaces to best sustain the building through its new life. Our designs look to provide this regenerated facility through careful and strategic spatial sequencing, rationalising circulation and providing dramatic and intuitive routes through the building.
