Team and Collaboration Community is at the heart of our workplace culture and everything we do. This year our team took part and organised a number of events with experts in the built environment industry, students, schoolchildren and the wider public. Monthly team lunches in the studio became a cherished tradition. A highlight of our team activities was a climb up Ben Lomond on a characteristically wet Scottish “summer” day. It was special to celebrate our work on the Govan Graving Docks project by hosting a film screening of ‘Rising Tides’ by @chrisleslie at the docks. At the Liveable City Conference, we enjoyed sharing our experiences with placemaking projects and learning from peers in Denmark and Scotland. Michael from the studio contributed to the COB Futures panel discussion organised by @dywglasgow, while Sam shared the studio’s journey at the @esala_edinburgh Friday Lecture. We were also thrilled to see Jen appointed as a @designcouncil expert. We were pleased to host the second @alder.magazine launch alongside @maryarnoldforster and exhibit our Pipe Factory retrofit proposals at the building during @glasgowdodf festival. We continued our work with Abercorn School through the Climate Hero role, supported by @dywglasgow and @glasgow_chamber, culminating in the delivery of the Climate Hub, an outdoor classroom for pupils on the school grounds. We had a great CPD programme this year! Highlights included a visit from @christopherplatt1260 , who shared his experience of practice; a workshop on color theory led by artist and lecturer @jeremyiaincarlisle; and a studio trip to the @be_stbuild Innovation Factory. We were also fortunate to welcome Lois, who developed a comprehensive carbon footprint report for the studio as part of her Step Up to Net Zero training. We look forward to more collaborations and discussions in the coming year. Thank you to our clients and collaborators for such a brilliant year. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and all the best for 2025!
