Learning from Elizabeth: Designing for Wellbeing On Thursday evening we hosted the first event in our new studio and our second event of the @archifringe 2023 programme. ‘Learning from Elizabeth: Designing for Wellbeing’ reflected on the pioneering work of Elizabeth Crichton to create the Crichton Estate, an exemplar healthcare facility not only in its treatment of patients, but also in its architecture and environment. The event was chaired by Tamsie Thomson (CEO of @riasmembership) and had presentations from Michael Dougall and Jennifer O’Donnell on the design proposal and themes for the Crichton Project, Darren Wilson of @whitearkitekter on proposals for the Velindre Cancer Centre, and Dr Valentina Bold, Heritage Policy and Projects Officer at @thecrichtontrust .
