1/3 The Pipe Factory We are delighted to share that we have recently submitted proposed refurbishment plans of The Pipe Factory for planning approval. The renowned grade B listed Glasgow building, located in the east end Barras Market, is characterised by its unique polychromatic red and white brickwork and its arched renaissance style windows. Working with The Friends of the Pipe Factory @thepipefactoryglasgow we have developed proposals to convert the 1877 former industrial building into office and workshop spaces for local, creative businesses. In parallel with this we have sought to improve the buildings accessibility by way of new lift, and energy efficiency by introducing breathable insulation to the existing fabric. Over the following posts we will describe the proposals in more detail, and our attitude towards this exciting project.
