Post 3/3 We are delighted to confirm a Planning Submission for a new build office development for the use of Brooker Diamond Chartered Fire Engineers alongside RCI Technical Services based in Cumbernauld. Set against the backdrop of Luggiebank Wood Nature Reserve the site provides the opportunity to capture beautiful woodland views to the East and to the South. The Southern Gable-end becomes the predominant facade on approach to the building it therefore is important that this elevation provides a transition and creates a bridge between the internal work environment and the natural surroundings. This is achieved through terraces with integrated seating and planting at ground and first floor to bleed together the internal and external space. The fully glazed gable end allows for glimpses into the working environment to direct visitor approach. This overlooks the raised growing planters adjacent and encourages framed views to the south directed by open boarding to allow for maximum light penetration to the terraces while capturing the desired view. The dark timber wrap to the building is contrasted by the warm timber reveals and internal linings-which in combination with the brightly lit interior contributes to the overall goal of creating a sustainable, healthy and welcoming work environment.
