2023: Social Value and Participation Our team have continued to deliver social value throughout 2023 and have enjoyed participating in a number of cross industry discussions. Our work with Abercorn Secondary School through the My Climate Path and @dywglasgow programmes has continued and we are looking forward to working with the pupils to develop a Climate Hub for the school in early 2024. Our interest in natural materials grew out of our proposals for the Crichton Project and we have enjoyed sharing our findings and approach to natural materials as part of the @talksatthelane series in Leith and the (RE)Grown event by @material_cultures as part of @archifringe We are looking forward developing this area of research in the practice with Historic Environment Scotland throughout 2024. We also enjoyed having the opportunity to discuss and debate Glasgow issues, as part of a round table discussion at @materialsource’s new studio and during our guided tour of the Govan Graving Docks site with visiting students from @ssoa_architecture. It was also once again an honour to participate in the @royal_scottish_academy Annual Exhibition Open Architecture show. 2023 was a particularly special year for O’DonnellBrown as our submitted works were awarded the ‘Best in Architecture’ Prize.
