Office trip to Belfast!
Last week the team took a break from the office to explore the city. Our good friends at @oguarchitects showed us a couple of their projects on the river Lagan - two inspiring works that attempt to reconnect Belfast with its waterfront through a civic approach that feels open and provisional.
In contrast, we also visited the Ulster Museum, the MAC, and the Lyric Theatre, each representing the city’s more established and monumental civic institutions. Side by side, these projects revealed the value of both approaches and the different ways architecture can host public life.
Of course, the trip wasn’t all buildings. We also found plenty of time to enjoy some of the city’s most-loved pubs, taking in another side of the city with space to unwind, spending time as a team outside the office.
