Tarbet Tourism Infrastructure Post 1/3 We are delighted to confirm a Planning Submission for a series of new buildings and structures as part of a wider Tourist Infrastructure Masterplan located upon the banks of Loch Lomond on behalf of our client Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park @lomondtrossachs, and Masterplan Design Lead, Landscape Architects LUC @lucimagery. Alongside LUC’s site wide masterplan, O’DonnellBrown have been assisting with all architectural elements of the proposal. This included a reconfiguration of the existing toilet block to provide additional toilets and a 24hr accessible changing places toilet, an improved café building with small indoor/outdoor seating area to replace the existing café kiosk. Furthermore, the proposal includes the introduction of improved facilities and weather protection to the pier for visitors and operators. Working together with the national park stakeholders and the Tarbet community, the proposed collection of buildings celebrates the nature of the national park by framing the breath-taking views across the loch and onward to Ben Lomond. The designs sensitively respond to the existing buildings and natural surroundings while also improving accessibility and wayfinding around the site.
