O’DonnellBrown has designed a new residential development for Westpoint Homes on the former Network Rail depot site at Kelvinhaugh Junction, Glasgow. Located on a prominent elevated brownfield site at the junction of Kelvinhaugh Street and Sandyford Street, the proposal delivers 43 high-quality apartments within a distinctive nine-storey building overlooking the River Clyde and the city’s evolving waterfront. The design responds carefully to the site's unique constraints and opportunities, transforming an underutilised industrial site into a vibrant residential address. The building is composed of three interlocking volumes, with generous glazing and carefully positioned balconies, reducing its perceived scale and delivering 100% dual-aspect apartments.

The development combines a rigorous façade composition with a contemporary material palette, creating a robust and elegant contribution to the cityscape. Extensive landscaped open space, resident amenities, cycle provision and sustainable transport connections further enhance the scheme, supporting the creation of a well-connected and sustainable new neighbourhood in Glasgow’s West End.
