West Tofts

A development of six passive houses in rural Norfolk.

The project proposes a collection of Passive House Plus dwellings which are not only carbon neutral but also generate energy for their occupiers to utilise. The site, located in the highly protected Thetford Forest, is currently occupied by a redundant and dilapidated industrial unit and aged bungalow plus other outbuildings. Proposals look to sensitively respond to the beautiful local context by carefully positioning the buildings to minimal disturbance of the trees incumbent on the site whilst also maximising opportunities for each house to have its own identity and outlook.
