O’DonnellBrown have been appointed by Tollcross Housing Association and NCV to progress proposals for 77 new-build homes in Tollcross, East Glasgow. The development will provide a mix of 3-bed, 2-bed houses as well as flatted accommodation. The site layout is centred around ‘Station Avenue’ a central landscaped street which is read as an extension to Corbett Street. Station Avenue is flanked on both sides by three-storey flatted blocks creating a gateway to the site at an appropriate urban scale to the street frontage.
Two-storey terrace houses are arranged to front Easterhill Street and a continuous loop road which links with Easterhill Street at the north west and south-east site boundary. The simple street pattern creates clearly legible streets with a continuous active frontage through the site.
